New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology License Information
In order to obtain a license in nail technology or cosmetology in the state of New Jersey, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology for more information.
Requirements
Cosmetology and Hairstyling: 1,200 hours
Manicurist: 300 hours
Skin Care: 600 hours
Teacher Trainer: 500 hours
Reciprocity
High school or GED + 200 school hours.
